The PHInstitute Therapeutic Exercise Service offers:

personalized training programs based on individuals’ abilities, needs, and goals.
Our philosophy integrates principles of functional medicine, kinesiology, and exercise physiology to create effective and innovative methods. The goal of The PHInstitute’s Therapeutic Exercise is to help you feel and look better while improving physical performance. All individuals undergo our PH Functional Assessment, which identifies your strengths and, most importantly, areas of weakness.

Therapeutic Exercise Programs include:

  • Anthropometrics: (Body Composition, Weight, BMI, Body Measurements, Resting Metabolic Rate)
  • Resting Vitals: Heart Rate, Blood Pressure.
  • Dynamic Movement Screening
  • Functional Strength Testing
  • Cardiovascular Endurance Testing
  • Dynamic Flexibility Testing

Following the analysis of data obtained from the above, a program is created which follows the advanced training principle of periodization. This is the process of strategically varying the time intervals and types of exercises to ensure optimal gains in physical performance. We also use exercise science to tap into multiple energy systems. This helps us optimize your body’s ability to safely gain lean muscle, burn fat, gain functional strength, recover faster, and avoid overtraining. Your therapist and/or trainer will specifically tailor every workout session. The PH therapeutic exercise service can be easily integrated with our PH dietary program and other medical services we offer.

Another key component of our Therapeutic Exercise program is the prevention of sports injuries, which is one of the most important components of sports performance training. Many injuries tend to happen due to inappropriate warm-up techniques and coaching. Below are a list of common sports injuries and ways to prevent them:

  • Shoulder Injuries
  • Elbow Pain
  • Lower Back Pain
  • Knee Pain
  • Ankle Sprains and Strains
